Neurodynamic Navigator System™

Coach & Clinician Certification Training

A deep-dive professional training in the Neurodynamic Navigator System™ for coaches, therapists, counselors, and licensed clinicians

Dr. Jennifer I. Huffman, PhD

Neuropsychologist | Developer, Neurodynamic Navigator System™

Emily Perepa, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker | NNS Clinical Trainer

What Is the NNS Coach & Clinician Certification?

The Neurodynamic Navigator System™ was developed by Dr. Jennifer I. Huffman, PhD through years of clinical practice, neuropsychological assessment, and personal experience as a neurodivergent individual and parent. This certification training takes the foundational framework of the NNS and translates it into a rigorous, practical, and transformative program for professionals who work directly with PDA-profile individuals and their families.

Led by Dr. Huffman alongside Emily Perepa, LCSW — a licensed clinical social worker with deep expertise in neurodiversity-affirming practice — this training is designed to do more than teach a model. It is designed to reshape the way professionals understand, communicate about, and respond to demand-sensitive nervous systems.

Who This Is For

🧠

Psychologists & Neuropsychologists

Licensed psychologists seeking a clinical overlay for understanding PDA profiles, demand-sensitive access, and nervous system-informed intervention.

💬

Therapists & Counselors

LCSWs, LPCs, LMFTs, and other licensed clinicians working with autistic, PDA-profile, or neurodivergent clients and families seeking actionable, trauma-informed frameworks.

🎯

Coaches & Consultants

Parent coaches, educational consultants, and neurodiversity advocates looking for a structured, evidence-informed model to guide families and teams.

🏫

Clinical Educators & School Psychologists

Practitioners who sit at the intersection of clinical and educational systems and want a unified language and framework that bridges both worlds.

What the Training Covers

The full curriculum is in development. The following represents the core learning areas.

1

The Neurodynamic Framework

Deep-dive into the NDQ™ formula — Dynamic Safety, Dynamic Capacity, and Motivation — with clinical case formulation applications. Learn to translate the framework into assessment language, consultation notes, and treatment planning.

2

The PDA Nervous System

Evidence-based understanding of the PDA profile: neurobiological underpinnings, threat-response architecture, and the distinction between ability and accessibility. Align the NNS with current PDA research literature.

3

The Flight Condition Key in Clinical Practice

How to use the 4-zone Flight Condition Key (Clear Skies through Emergency Landing) as a real-time clinical and coaching tool. Practice reading the instrument panel across diverse client presentations.

4

Coaching Families with the NNS

How to translate the NNS into parent coaching — scaffolding the Navigator role, building the connection multiplier, and guiding families through the N.A.V.I.G.A.T.O.R. framework in session and at home.

5

Interdisciplinary Consultation & School Collaboration

Using the NNS as a consultation framework with school teams. IEP/FBA neurodynamic language, team alignment, and bridging the gap between clinical settings and educational environments.

6

Ethical Application & Neurodiversity-Affirming Practice

Ethical responsibilities when working with PDA-profile individuals. Neurodiversity-affirming principles, navigating systems that resist the model, and avoiding iatrogenic harm through demand-escalation approaches.

Led By Two Experts Who Live This Work

Dr. Jennifer I. Huffman, PhD

Neuropsychologist | NNS Developer

Dr. Jennifer I. Huffman is a licensed neuropsychologist and the developer of the Neurodynamic Navigator System™ and the Neuro-Dynamic Quotient™. Her work is rooted in years of clinical assessment practice, neurodiversity-affirming intervention, and personal experience as a neurodivergent individual and parent of neurodivergent children. The NNS emerged from a fundamental recognition that existing models failed to capture what she was observing clinically and living personally — the moment-to-moment fluctuation of nervous system access that determines what a person can actually do right now. She developed the NNS to give families, educators, and clinicians a shared instrument panel — one that prioritizes safety, autonomy, and authentic navigation over compliance and control.

Emily Perepa, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker | NNS Clinical Trainer

Emily Perepa is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker whose practice centers on neurodiversity-affirming therapeutic support for children, adolescents, and families navigating complex neurodivergent profiles, including PDA, autism, ADHD, and co-occurring anxiety. Emily brings a systems perspective to the NNS — understanding that meaningful change happens at the intersection of the individual, the family, and the environments that surround them. As a clinical trainer, she translates the NNS framework into the realities of therapeutic practice: building the connection multiplier in session, coaching families through high-demand periods, and equipping clinicians with the language and strategies to navigate alongside their clients with precision and compassion.

The Neurodynamic Navigator System™

The Neurodynamic Navigator System™ is an independent framework developed by Dr. Jennifer I. Huffman, PhD through clinical practice, research, and lived experience. It reframes PDA — from Pathological Demand Avoidance to Pilot's Drive for Autonomy — and provides families, educators, and clinicians with a real-time nervous system navigation model built on established neuroscience principles.
